It'd be a pretty major execise I reckon... given the width of the standard front end...

but I have seen pics around that look like it has been done... Edi Winter's bike looks like that's how it began life...

Alleven chain kit

Has anyone given the chain kit a go? How do you like it? Im looking forward to getting one and having that predictable coasting in a corner without the tight belt drag.

Because snow is still deep,
I have only tested in a p garage in-15c
worked perfect.
small short film with iphone standing on the ground
Sb5 test (0 min 13 sec)

Second, I tested is to tighten the belt on my homemade 20+ backswing.
with tüskens gear from Shapeways and the 20T alu pulley from Traxxas

Here's the link https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show....php?t=1098831

But after having a quick look, I have done a Edi a terrible injustice...
His bike is a masterpiece, and doesn't share much with the SB5 at all, some minor similarities... But that's about it...

Yeah sorry mate... I keep on eye on your thread so I know what the bike has become... I just had an image in my head of how I thought it started life... Then I visited the 1st page again today... Only to find out that my memory is disappearing faster than my hair line...

Thanks for the link, saw it and it looks great!
What fork that will fit on sb5 kit?

I'm building new kit (I have missed the train), also have read all pages back. Got many great info in here.. But I have confused for choosing the esc and motor. I have a CC MMP and the old Sidewinder. The only esc I could fit in just the Sidewinder. For the motor, should I take 4700kv or 5700kv? Also are the gears using 48 pitch or mod 1?

48dp and better use 5700KV, it is better to have more power to use and may reduce it than otherwhise.

I didn't get the 5700kv because of no stock, so i get 8.5T motor (maybe about 4400kv I think).

Everybody in here look like change the steering shock o-rings with AE silicone o-rings. I think I'm following, because my steering shock didn't work smooth. I have oiled the black o-ring but still got resistance. So anyone knows the code # for AE o-ring?
