If I see correctly on that photo, you're only connecting 4 pins (GND,VCC, TX,RX) if so It's missing the pins that trigger the reset of the IC so that it enters the bootloader.

If the board has a reset button that you can press, what you can do is try and press it right before the arduino IDE starts trying to upload the sketch. It will need a good timing.

Yep mine is also missing the reset so hold it down on the arduino until the writing comes up on the arduino software then let the reset go. It works every time

Concerning the Kcopter board, I have tried arduino 0023 and 1.0 I have selected all the 328 boards and the uno board. I have tried multiwii 1.9 and 2.0 . I think I have tried every possible way to to load the program thru arduino. I think I mentioned this before but I have tried every configuration I can in the config H. I have tried holding the reset while loading. That is why I am on here hoping someone has a solution to the error message.I just spent an hour trying multiwii 2.1 and consistantly not in sync error

Try to have the fc unconnected from the computer when you start to compile the multiwii software and as soon arduino IDE change status to upload connect the board, it works for me.

if the pads aren't lifted, i would contact whoever you bought it from - it would literally take 5-10mins MAX of work w/ some solder paste and a hot air station since you didn't even rip the pads off (at least it looks that way from the photos).

LoS sUAS AP/V is not a crime
Funny you say ‘fly it as if you stole it’…
That’s what your going to have to tell the cops when that drops on someone’s head.
“Yes, it’s mine but someone stole it and someone else was flying it, I swear.”
Also, I did not see anything there that could not be better done by a foam FPV plane with a pusher prop.
In the event of power/motor failure with an airplane you could glide out to sea if you had to.

How about vertical take off and landing capabilities (VTOL). Without vtol, i couldnt land safely in such populated areas. And what about hovering or sliding to left and right?
Anyway, i have years of experience in FPV with multicopters and i know how to minimize risks.

Nice video. I would like to be able to do that.
There were not many people on this beach.
I have seen lots of much more risky flights over cities or highways.
