I set the Autolevel Strength to 4 - higher values result in a nervous yaw, lower values than 3 make it less stable.

There's only some minor oscillation left - I think the Wii MP needs some better dampening. And one motor starts later then the others after I connected the NK. Dunno why ... I'll exchange the ESC and try again tomorrow. Hopefully the weather here in good ole Germony lets me go for a flight.

Thanks again to everybody who made this possible, especially Alex for his great work!

Also not to forget Frank T. whom I was allowed to call yesterday. We compared our settings on the phone and I got aware that I had to set my lower throttle EPA to 105% before I could arm the motors.

Have a nice weekend y'all!

btw: I rather thought of the English "wino" because with gyros only my copter looked a bit drunk when taking off.

@ signguy: Can I have some "ArduWiino NK" decals in dark blue and dark green, please. In return I could send you one of the Bosch Accelerometers to play around with. Deal?
Norbert, that is great news. Looking forward to seeing the vid with your autolevel results!

Shipping's usually the killer for me when it comes to "electronics parts" shops (eg. $20 shipping for a $0.50 part)
Sorry, missed your post...

I could think of some kind of collective order. I have an ELV club card and don't pay for shipping. The break out board fits into a standard letter envelope - about 2,5 AUD shipping cost, 4-7 days delivery.

If more users were interested I cold organize that at costs.

I need to read up on the NK cross-referenced spec sheets, if they exist for my clone, but, could it be that the internal frequency of the NK is simply not compatible with the natural frequencies induced by a propeller-driven flying platform? It may work great for a handheld video game controller but not for a flying machine like what we're building. Just a thought. It seems that there is evidence as to why some accelerometers work better than others for these applications. Need an electronics/semiconductor expert to chime in on that.

Could you please elaborate upon these natural frequencies or point me to a reference source?

Thank you.

So far it's not stable as I would like it to be. I still have to find out how to correct the roll axis (the one dependent of the inclination of the 2 servos).
I have no video because I'm not currently happy with its attitude.
perfect stabilization for 3 axes...

Maybe we should use chicken brains instead of Wii?
