Hi, I have one Arduino question...
I'm trying to understand Multiwii firmware to re-code it for my own purposes (Not flight stabilization) and I would like to understand what is the 'setup' and 'loop' part of the code, and how it works since the code is split into different 'windows' and not just one single and continuous text file. Cheers! Jandro. |

https://www.arduino.cc/en/Reference/Setup https://www.arduino.cc/en/reference/loop The MultiWii project itself is very complex, what's your goal exactly with your modifications ? |

I want to use a HK Multiwii 328p microcontroller board as a base to code a GPS-based tracking device for gimbals.
Thing is, that this board already has accelerometers, gyros, mag and barometer. Since it is thought out to be used with Mwii, I imagined that it would be more straightforward to take the sensor reading and PWM signal processing part of the code rather than doing it all from scratch, specially since all the sensors use the I2C bus... but then it's not that easy because it's all mixed up and there's thousands of lines of code... As for the setup() and loop() I already found them in the Multiwii.cpp tab Right now I'm -trying- to strip off all the unnecessary code of multiwii and reduce it to the signal-processing and sensor reading bit. |

So it seems the MultiWii forum and other parts of the site like the FAQ have gone down :/
I'm just getting started building mine (getting parts is a problem), and while I know MutliWii stuff is old now, I think it'd be a real shame if this all disappeared off the internet. Does know the website owner/how to get in contact? I'd be happy to help with maintenance of the site if that is what is needed, I just really don't want all this work to disappear! |

Thanks for the offer, I am on FB and would like to join the group - could you give me a link please? I don't want to post a link to my profile here in case of spam, but hopefully I'll be able to find you on the group.
Ah good, hopefully it will be back soon. If not it may be in the Wayback Machine. Is Alex in Paris a user on this board? I have experience in web design and development and site administration, so I'd be very happy to assist him if he no longer has time to keep it going. I guess I could download pages and stuff but for general knowledge it'd be best to get it working well again or migrate it to a different host I suppose. |
