Thanks for the kind comments guys. Also, thanks to Brian for posting the vid. The airplane gets small fast, I couldn't imagine trying to keep up with it with a camera!

got my new light setup in. thrust still feels great. weight is 11oz with 4s 750 or 12 oz with 4s 1000. test flight should be this saturday at the basin

The Micro Electra got a hotter KV motor this weekend. This Neu 12mm motor draws 20 more watts and has 20g more static thrust. First 3 flights today were very promising. Definitely picked up some mph in level flight and the vertical performance was noticeably improved in the loops. The video isn't the best but it gives an idea of what's possible with a small 12mm motor.

Yes! The kit release date is April 1 for the initial 10 kits. Some good friends are helping to make this a reality! We are still working on updating the cad drawings, writing instructions, and making a bunch of glass parts. when April comes around this will be a true kit intended for an average modeler wanting a high performance micro edf.
