What planes are "Sunday flyers?"

What are some examples of "Sunday Fliers" types of planes. When i say "Sunday Fliers" i mean like planes that don't go to fast and are just relaxing to fly. Please let me know.

Well, I would try to tell you that it's any plane you fly on Sunday, but....

Generally I would think of a trainer or a Cessna Skylane-type plane. Depending on the pilot it could also be a warbird, sport plane or aerobat. When you think about it it all comes down to pilot skill. Someone who's proficient with a PZ T-28 will think a Slow Stick is relaxing. Someone who flies F5D competition will find a 90mph Formosa relaxing and a Slow Stick downright boring, if not painful. It's all perspective...

There's a degree of personality involved.

One of my all time favourites was a clipwing Sig Four Star 40 with 700W into a 15 x 10 in a 5-1/4lb model. Honest flying, real relaxing all the way to several party tricks from the FAI schedule.

A Lazy Bee is good too, though some have suggested mine ain't that lazy.

Given a choice, I'd rather fly Tuesdays or Thursdays. Too many hobby buyers cluttering up the strip Sundays

My current favorite is my BalsaUSA Enforcer. Looks like a jet, lands like a trainer. Fits in the car assembled so all I have to do is plug it in when I get there to fly.

My past favorites were a Four Star 40 and an abomination ugly electric converted Spirit glider and a Goldberg Cub. I've got a new 1/5 Sig Cub but it doesn't make it to the field a lot because it takes some effort to put together and take apart so disqualifies itself a bit from the relaxing category.

Easy Star is a nice one handed flying plane. Sit back in a chair one hand on the controller and a frosted beverage in the other and every once in a while look up and give a minor correction.

Everyone has their favorites, but for me it is my 3DHS EBT. The only problem I have with it is that I have problems with some of my other planes if I fly the EBT too much. John
