Up to 10mph you can fly in... but the more wind, the more you will get pushed around, so it won't be as fun... also, landings get increasingly hard with more wind, and you don't want to damage your plane. I recommend landing in grass intead of on pavement with the landing gear if there is much wind.

My original sukhoi is also upgraded very similar to yours. With the different motor(mSR motor) and 5043 prop. I didn't use as large a battery though, I have 180mAh 15C batteries that gave it more umph. But yes, I'm sure with those upgrades, it is very similar.

Well my old one is a little beaten up. I could buy new parts(foam) and fix it all up... It still flies, but has a lot of glue and tape on it. It was my first 4CH plane!

I got the new one because I wanted a brand new sukhoi that was in mint condition, I also wanted to see how parkzone did on this new plane, and they did great!

I think the new sukhoi is great. PZ took all of the customer recommendations and mods and put them into a new upgraded model. This new model flies just great! I agree, you can mod a normal sukhoi to fly just as good, but this one comes right out of the box, ready to fly amazing!

How easy was it to remove the gear on the mSr motor? Is it threaded???? I guess you ended up using a prop adapter for the 5043 anyway, but I'm just curious.

Thanks

would it be even worth it to buy an old suk and mod, or just the new one. The long throw AR6400L is prop 65 itself, plus motor, batts ect.

I would just a old sukhoi for $65 bucks and change the prop and change the COG and you're all set! Motor, and ar6400L arent needed unless you like extreme control!

I do like the looks of new one better, plus I read all the BS of old one and it's flaws, but for the price it ain't bad.

Then again the new Suk is 100 which is great as well!
