Not a good choice because you will find that if you commit to this hobby you will end up with more than one plane and a DX5e just won't cut it. The programing features on the DX6i are awesome (dual rates & expo, timer, 10 models, heli or planes ......) and will end up being be a better choice in the long run. |

DX6i is the way to go. It is a system that can grow with you. Has 1024 resolution that matches the sukhoi xp receiver's 1024 resolution while the DX5e has around 256 resolution. More resolution=more steps=more control.

If though it's your first time doing anything like this, don't activate the mixes until you are high up and comfortable about everything. I don't mean to teach you to suck eggs here, guess I just dont want you blaming me if anything goes wrong With the "opposite" mix there can be quite high G forces if done at speed so take it easy, but by all means take it |

I flew my Sukhoi xp yesterday. Wow! I had forgot how great this thing can fly. Mine spins like a drill bit. I read on here a while back that someone said there's did not. I suggest you open it up and move the control rod on the bell crank. You prolly know this all ready though. I mean, a sukhoi isn't really a begineer plane. Happy Flyin. Lee

That'd be me. What I really need to do when I open it up is to find a way to take the slack out of the ailerons. Depending on the wind, it can almost appear that I have flaps because both ailerons deflect slightly in the same direction.

Well, long as you got her open anyways, might wanna make that adjustment. Lee

Lee, I though by opening her up you meant go fast - not actually get inside!

Hahaha, yea. Usually I guess that is what I would have meant. hahaha

The rods have some shring wraparound them. I moved it towards the crank and taped it down. The bare rods at the crank end wiggle a lot. Try to tighten the bellcrank too. Mine had some slop in it.
