Damn, I havn't got a lot of knowledge on the original, you'd be best off with the inrunner reccomended in that case as the frame is built for a brushed. It'll be a lot easier to fit.

This looks almost an exact copy of the DJI Quad. http://www.fast-lad.co.uk/store/taro...9-p-19151.html

It would still be awesome if you could take a pic as I may be able to make something like it. You say the outrunner is pretty good and a 7 inch prop would be good to use.
Someone has made something here for the original with an iced tea bottle!
Thanks a lot

Just checked my Gopro and it won't record with just the usb connected and no battery. Would probably have to make up a power connector that picks up the original battery contacts if you wanted to save weight by losing the standard pack.......

Should be easy enough for a man with some skills and a 3D printer :0

Malcolm

PS This was on a Gopro 1 not the newest model

I'll take a few detailed snappys tonight and show you how the easy star 2 motor mount works.

I f you have the ez*1 a 7" prop will not fit without chopping a grove in the boom

I Have two flying ez1's and one in a box both the flying planes use 2200 in-runner from HK they just drop in and when you have busted the foam motor mount cut it off and slide in a piece of plastic card between the fuse shells below the mount position drill two holes through the fuse and the card slide through two cable ties and viola! you are good to go again.

Flypopa (my buddy) has recommended those very inexpensive motors from DEx I can vouch for them. I may be faster on a level run and make height a couple of seconds before him but his motor is lighter so his sink rate is less, a little bit of extra work to mount it but worth the effort ( lots of stuff on the ez* thread showing all manner of mounts)

Regards Jeff

Thanks Malcolm,
Yeah would be nice to save the weight of the battery on that printed quad. It flew so well with a regular FPV cam, asking it to lugg about the GoPro is just a bit much me thinks (well with its current motor/prop setup)
so what i probably need is either a lighter battery for the GoPro, or some circuit that fools it into thinking a battery is connected to it.

Was the lead you used a standard usb lead or one with just power?

Owen
