I like that!
It will fix the torque roll issue that a lot of people get when launching

What motors /batteries have you put in it?

2 x T-motor F80 Pro 1900KV, 2 x T-motor F45A-32bit 3-6S ESCs, 2 x 550 mAh 6S, Vector. AUW - 920g, max thrust around 4kg.

Well this airframe was used more for a lawn dart than for flying, so hopefully yes.

Wayno, you here buddy? What were those crazy props you were running on the 150mph Radjet? 5x7's or something? They were quad props I think?

He used to get his from Bangggod but they don't appear to be listed anymore.
I bought some for my Radjet (the one I lost).
Here is a link to the ones that I have. I belive that they are the same as the monsters that Wayne used.

Thanks Mitch, so they are not actually a 5 x 7! The spec says 5 x 4.2.... Shame, was suggesting to Flynn to use them for the FJ as 2 x 5inch disc area would be plenty and you could go mad on the pitch...

Actually the blurb on the packet says nothing about pitch. What it does say is that these props are designed to generate maximum lift along their length. To do this, the pitch changes at key points along the blade. If it helps the 'pitch' is at least 45 degrees at the root and doesn't seem to fall off very fast!
I'm guessing that the 7" pitch idea came from the 5 .75 reference on the packet. (5" prop with a .75 'advanced ratio').
Either way, these things are beasts! They will push a Radjet through the air at over a ton with a 2350 kv motor on 4S.
Here is a link to the page from the emax website. Scroll down to get some more info on the props and their design.

Thanks once more to Ianda217 for the printing, some neat design touches such as the captive nuts that don't drop out and the perfect fit on each wing.

Hey - what are you doing 6000 miles away in Madagascar - Oban used to be 120 miles up the road.

Thought I had better just do a low pressure test of the main fuel tank and the bubble tank.. They were both leaking very badly it turns out....The bubble tank was porous, and the main tank had a leaky cap..Not happy, but very glad not to have pumped kerosene through the airframe! So I had to get a new main tank fitting from Nexus, but the lightest was 10g, so put it on the lathe and trimmed it down to 4.5g and bonded it in..now have to make a new bubble tank, and swill the main tank with epoxy!! This project is never ending!! I was just about to fill it up with fuel for some pre-flight testing!! Daymn... Speed does not come easily! Luckily spotted that the mould used for the little bubble tank was obviously a 'Kinder Surprise', so went to a local specialist (sweetshop) and sourced a pattern lol... Have taken a mould of it today, and waiting for it to cure overnight, then will vac a couple of tank halves tomorrow... progress..progress..

Nice work. What material are you using for the mould?

'Easy Composites' tooling gel-coat, backed with a layer of loose chopped strand, then 3 layers of bound chopped strand matt, followed by an epoxy/micro slurrey... Came out perfect! (did get a bit hot when curing though, as I tried to do it all in one day!)

Bollux... What a waste...So need to make 2 piece mould to stop the edge cracking, and use a different gel coat. Anyone that tells you composites is easy is a politician! That was pretty much a whole days worth of time and 30+ in the bin...

8 prs gloves
8 cups
8 stirring sticks
tooling resin
epoxy resin
silica
micro balloons
25gsm glass
100gsm glass
chopped strand glass
acetone
sandpaper
putty
vac bag
vac bag adhesive strips
release film
absorber matt
chocolate egg
glue
chemical release agent
release wax
rags
lint free cloth
paint brushes
