Some nice looking ground stations there
Mine is almost finished, but I need to squeeze some sort of recorder in there. What do you chaps recommend? I know there are tons of options but I was hoping to get some help from you lads who actually use these things? I spotted two different ones in the GS pics above, what are they? Any good? What about everyone else? Any recommendations for a small, reasonably priced vid recorder? Oh, and if you can recommend somewhere that gives oodles of free cash away, that would help too |

That does not sound good so did it come back on the patch once you switched and not the omni? Just wondering if its the lead to the patch? What goggs where you using not an issue with them? I cleaned up my fatshark connector and it seems to be ok since then but yours is different. Did it drop out on the recording as well then? It would be good to get the orical hooked up and give it a spin ill be interested to see how it works just guna be loads more wires to deal with compared to the duo. I think we need to put some pressure on sander to get the new duo out don’t know if i can wait till the end of the year lol |

Lol yeah.
Yeah picture was much more reliable once it was screwed into the other rx port. So don't know what's going on there. For a while now I've been flying off my skigoggles goggles I think I prefer them more at the moment. The recorded video shows the bad reception so it's gotta be either in the transmition or reception. What I was gonna do with the oracle was take it apart and 'hard wire' the receivers to the oracle including the power so basically the only connections it will have will be 2antenna ports and the video and power I actually phoned Sander the other day. What with it being chinese holiday he's not having much luck getting stuff from them. |

Paul (yogz) or was it someone else - can't remember. Anyway it suddenly dawned on me that nghobbies does one of these http://www.nghobbies.com/cart/index....roducts_id=299
And guess what I've already got one so when I get a chance I'll incorporate it into my gs. Owen |

Nice selection of FPV landings (done on a funject but applicable to all I guess). A pleasant 10 minutes with comments with how to approach a landing in differing conditions. Most usefull!

Interstingly... issue with moisture on lenses. How often has it been a problem for all of you? I use 'rainex' on my cctv cameras that have a boring life strapped to my workshop, and will be doing the same with my flying cams. Avaliable at all good local motorist shops, and Halfords! Paul p.s. Picked up some Gorilla Glue at a big tool shop in Didcot today when I went to get a big cylinder of Argon for my Tig welder. What a happy find!! And they had 'gorilla tape' there as well... black gaffer/duct tape. Anybody used it? Didn't buy any but if it's any good I will (if it's like the glue could be a good alternative to strapping tape which seems to go crinkly on UV contact way to soon to me) |
