Self promotion post but also relevant =D

I've been working on an indie game for a bit and basically in the process of giving it a visual overhaul.
The other planes are still being implemented but I worked on the DVII
Camera option for FPV (ish!) =]

Yeh, that's in progress at the mo, not sure how far along but will find out.
Also, the next one will be built in Unity, when it is will sort out getting some forum planes in =]

so I have had a bad morning.
went out to test my hal after staying up till 2am refitting and moving all the wiring about for a cleaner install.
On the field and lipo plugged in........bang, crackle, smoke poured out from the HAL shell.......Bu^&er

after pulling the lipo off I just sat there wondering how much money I had just killed.....and why

turns out wiring one esc negative to positive and positive to negative off the power board is a bad thing.


SO, anyone got a multistar 20amp opto they wanna sell.

tested naza and that seems all ok so that's the main thing

Have HK NL got any in stock?
I plugged a lipo in the wrong way on the Bixler once... Fried most the ESC wire but still worked =]

It melted the three wires all the way back to the NAZA. I'll check NL stock, cheers chap

Go for the £6 piece...ill have a nosey if I need any bits to help cut down shipping..

also, will 2836 1100kv motors do the trick for a tricopter? Obvs running 20/30A Escs and 9/10" props (will check the specs)

I found one 3 cell LiPo battery that I had charged fairly recently had basically discharged 2/3 cells, it wasn't puffy nor did it have signs of a problem. I tried resurrecting it by charging it like a NiMh until the 2 cells were up to 3.7 and then charging it normally.

I did this yesterday and have noticed that the two cells are now at ~4v where the 3rd is at ~4.17. Is there a chance there is a short? - there has been no temperature change so I'm not sure. Any Ideas?

Sounds like dead cells to me. Bin it before you loose a model :P. the cost if lipos these days it's not worth toying with a bad one.
