There's alot of settings you can go through on the printer. As with everything it's a strength V weight compromise. Options include;
Layer thickness
Number of skins
Infill density

Tech specs so far are;
Predicted AUW 1Kg
W/S 1520mm
Wing chord (constant) 100mm

Should be good

Description:

DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO!

Had to pull quite hard to get the motor out of its crater.

When the AHI is doing weird things, don't switch to auto level, unless you just wanna see sky for a while

Oops - I guess that one is not going to Spain with you then!

- Was that an HFP controller that did weird things?

Perhaps your HFPro board is in protest over being stuck in a TBS frame :P.

I don't think the mag and acc calibration took, when I switched to AL what I thought was 'up' wasn't.

Maybe I should just save the HFP for AP only and not FPV. I have a CC3D after all.

My little warthox frame quad is still the most reliable aircraft I have, she's flying awesome.

Having some great flights today despite being here on my tod, you lot are rubbish! I'm warming up in the van and charging batteries then back out for more!

What a day!

Loads of flights (with no chatting going on what else was there to do?

Constant battery charging.

My first 'night' flight.

Three walks of shame!
1, Disco crash - don't turn AL on at speed when the AHI isn't remotely level.
One broken arm, missing half of the EzUHF receiver.

2, The ParkJet was doing a high speed pass when (i presume) the canopy popped off, all the FPV gear left the plane still attached together with Velcro that had lost its stick in the cold. I removed my goggles to see the foam floating down.
All recovered minus the canopy but the foam is written off anyway.

3, On my third evening/night flight it was now too dark for the camera, heading towards my lights landmarks I must have been just too low and lost reception. The Raven landed safely albeit in the middle of a muddy field a good walk away. Recovered and just needed a wipe down.

I had my money's worth out of the loc8tor today helping me find all three downed aircraft, especially the electronics from the ParkJet.

If your gonna attempt night flights, take a torch and make sure you're plane is lit up like a Christmas tree!

The Skywalker is doing great and the autopilot seems reliable, lots of testing today including the always worrying, 'transmitter off and wait' test. All good.

So, you slackers missed out on the fun!

Just clumsy. Oh, forgetful too

winter projects:
fly? that would be start...

build opensource headtracker when the bits arrive
fit p/t to bixler
test autopiloting of monster truck
...and dragon tracker tracking it
..and if that works start plane tracking tests
...then buy a veeery long range antenna

finish the 6s FPV EDF mirage

put the retracts in the FPV BD-5 with "undercarriage cam" and cam switch

make my FPV 2.3m glider for range...

make the Ele Bee2 for rough/night flight - kind of a FJ replacement (or sell it)

Learn to fly the tricopter LOS and maybe upgrade it to CC3D. Then FPV it.

then there's the LOS stuff...

too much to do, too little time! I expect I'll get none of this done by summer...

Don't like the sound of that - surely auto level should work at any speed / attitude, as you are most likely to need it in a hurry when it is all going a bit wrong...

- If that really is the case with the HFP, I'm glad I have not gone that route for my controller needs

Managed one test flight with the QAV500 and a new 4s 5000mah compact battery.
It just fits in the frame and the balance is fine.
At first I had my worries as it didn't want to leave the ground. But after that it was fine.
The extra power made light of the extra weight . Was very stable as expected.
Ususally get about 8 mins on a 3s 3700 pack. This pack went to 15 minutes.
There was a slight issue with it actually falling out the sky at 15 minutes. This was due to me not changing the low level battery alarms from 3s to 4s, so didn't get the red flashing led warning. Derrr!!!!
Had to give the battery to Mitch to re-charge as was at 0% capacity, Since I don't have a PSU yet
Tested the Spider Hex on the KK2 board. What a great bit of kit for 30 bucks. Love it.
