Whatever.

It happened this week with Trappy rather than next month by some novice. All it will do is make the police in built up areas and high profile areas more aware. We all play nice in safe areas don't we? If we are not, then we will get a slapped wrist at some point and it'll be our own fault.

Nothing has changed and quads or FPV won't be banned.

Move along, nothing to see here.

I'm not supporting Trappy. Yogz used the word disrespectful, that I agree with.

But.

The police can only move you on or take your stuff if you are doing something you shouldn't or be somewhere you shouldn't. Right? So they were right to move on Trappy, we all agree.

I've been moved on by a warden of a park because models weren't allowed to be flown there. I apologised, asked where I could fly, moved on and won't fly there again. The others with me were also polite an accommodating.

If we fly where we are not supposed to, we will get moved on regardless of who we are (or even who we might think we are). It won't be anyone else's fault but our own.

All i say is don't blame others if you fly where you shouldn't.

I wonder how long it was before trappy got stopped, does this not highlight that maybe the security isn't up to what it needs to be and highlights what virtually anyone could do.

But is it even possible to prevent a small quad from taking off in london etc?

I'm not in any way condoning what trappy did btw, Anyone with common sense wouldn't fly over a highly populated are where he was.

I prefer the older videos as well to be honest rather than their latest overprocessed special effects ones in citys etc

Its impossible to stop, but the main issue now is your going to get dumb ass copycats that will make things 10x worse - some people (on here even) don't even get that simple fact.

And what's important after events like this is to demonstrate that there are people out there who are sensible about the way they operate. Bringing in draconian legislation will not get rid of the idiots who cause the problems and its up to the sensible ones to demonstrate this is not necessary.....

Which is going to be infinitely harder to do after a retarded stunt like this.
I wish he was still in London, I have a little gift for him. Happy to take donations from you all...

Exactly. As long as we are sensible and don't fly where we shouldn't there won't be a problem.

Good thing it's not that easy to build, fly then FPV a model aircraft. That itself should limit the 'copy cats'. Most who are getting into quads or FPV end up in places like this where the community will hopefully educate them about 'right' and 'wrong'.

I just think there was a 'not in my back yard' knee jerk reaction earlier.

(Just for reference, this and previous comments were written dead pan and not aimed at anyone. Hence 'we' the FPV community)
