Quad chopping...

Before:

After:

The elevator was a bit sluggish on the long version (although the motors were placed in a perfect square). Daz, prototyped the short version which works better so I chopped mine down too.

Build space is filling up RCM, So close to being done after another 6 hours hammering it out . Managed to get the hinge point for the tilt absolutely perfect! Especially as my desired point of rotation is the middle of the dome (which can't be done with this hemisphere) Ive managed to get it near to perfect . Just got the tilt servo mounting and pushrod hole to sort out, one side of the cam mount needs rounding off, and the dome needs some screw holes to meet the insert, aside from that were golden .

Lol I've not printed anything yet. This is all just design stuff. I'm just hoping the printer does me proud again. The tolerances are so tight on this unit it's scary :P.

Google Sketchup is awful for engineering work. Some simple things that take a couple of clicks in SolidWorks are very tedious in Sketchup. The best thing would be to find a free engineering CAD package that exports STL.

Yep sketchup has its limitations but its all I have on the work pc I can bash stuff out on it quite fast and these parts rather simple.
I have already modeled the parts so will have a go with them to start with if it won’t work ill make them on solidworks.
