UK FPV Thread
It's windy outside, looks like its gonna rain - can't go flying.
So I was thinking - i wonder how many UK FPV'es there are. So the purpose of this thread is it find out. If your in the UK and you fly FPV or even if your thinking about it all, let us know on this thread and maybe theres a guy nearby. Let us know what your running, how long, what plane, rough area ect, ect. You can be as detailed or as vague as you want. Here's a map of where we're all located. Maybe there's someone hear you. PM me if you would like to appear. Good idea, there are Threads for Australian flyers, etc etc, so why not the UK.
![]() I'm also UK based - Beds/Herts. Been flying FPV (or working on it) for about 12 months now - but have been following these FPV forums for at least double that. My primary FPV platform is a 50" EPP Flying Wing, running EagleTree telemetry. ....always hunting for that 'ULTIMATE' plane platform for my FPV antics. ![]() Planning on FPV-enabling my Quadrocopter in the not too distant future too. ![]() My FPV craving at this time is for a UHF long range R/C system. ![]() |

I am Nick Fly around sussex FPV with a EZ* 1.2ghz ezosd two cameras but no head tracker as I use a JR transmitter, ez tracker diversity receiver one omni and one patch. I am using a 550L camera but I am disappointed with the white balance ( it all goes dark when you climb ... what do you guys use ? Oh yes and can't wait to get a UHF system ![]() |

Never replied to any thread on here before now. Its better than the RCMF forum, which is generally populated with 'anti' FPV types. Any thread that dares to mention a flyer without an A certificate, FPV videos, lack of CE stickers on imported gear will result in nothing less than page after page of angry posts from the regulars..
![]() Anyway I'm from near Liverpool, been flying rc for more years than I care to remember.. For FPV I have a brushless Easystar with 2.4 GHz video setup, EZ OSD, TrackR2 headtracker.. Not been able to get any flights in this year, (even mature students on engineering degrees have no social lives).. Hopefully over the summer I will be able to complete a better FPV platform that suits my needs. The Easystar is ok, but once you start putting all the gear in, it starts to get a bit cramped. Think my next student loan is going towards the new EZ UHF kit and a antenna tracker ![]() |

I split my time between France and the UK. When I'm back in the UK, I can mainly be found in Bath or Cambridge area. Most of my FPV models are in France and I only have a MS composite Swift 2 in the UK for FPV. It's a very basic setup with 2.4GHz 500mW tx and cx-161 camera. It stays in my car and I grab any chance that I can to get out flying.

Hello, First post, been lurking here for a while soaking up the FPV info.
Early days for me, still building up my kit so far.....easystar (stock setup), DX7 (hmmm wondering if a switch to 35MHZ might be better for FPV) , 1.2Ghz TX/RX, 540TVL camera. Currently looking for video glasses Based in Berkshire, horribly close to Heathrow so I guess I'll be taking a drive when I want to fly high. |
