I'm confused. Speed 480 question.

What is the difference between the following motors? Aren't they all just the same motor with different labels?

Jamara 480
Permax 480
Dymond Max 48
Graupner 480 race

I get different values for all of these motors in P-calc on the DMA website What's the deal? Help

As I indicated in my post in response to your other thread, the "480" name is very confusing. My understanding is that the first three motors you list are the same (the "long can" speed 400 with a 2.3mm shaft). The Graupner 480 race is one of several Graupner "480" motors and is a whole different animal. The tip off (despite what other stats are given) is the size of the output shaft. I think the Graupner motors have a 3.2 mm shaft.

Someone who is more knowlegeable will have to take it from here.

No they're different motors that's why you get different figures for them .

The first 3 are pretty similar (not identical) but the Graupner (the only one which is actually called a "SPEED 480") is very different indeed.

As Neil says the 480 designation is about the most confusing. Graupner have trademarked the Speed xxx names but people still refer to other motors as Speed xxx when they're nothing of the sort.
