Looks like it's going to be a great morning for UM flying. Time to charge a few packs!

Happy flying!!

I can recommend a GREAT Ebay seller called "hopmeup". The prices are good and they ship out quick. I usually get my stuff in a couple of days. Go to Ebay and type in "hobbyzone champ" and you'll get to the parts listing.

Now I get my stuff through a LHS. It takes a bit linger to get the stuff, but I like to support the store.

+3 for HopmeUp on eBay. Bought a wing and a couple of props from them.

I get mine from www.wholesaletrains.com. Their prices appear to be a little better than the hopmeup guy. Not sure what the shipping charges are since wholesaletrains is also my LHS. Their price on the fuselage with electronics is especially good.

yesterday i added flaps to my champ they were 3" long and 3/4" wide they worked good at all angles but i liked it best when they followed the curve of the wing. i have now put on ones that are 3" by 1" and should have a chance to try them on wednesday.

What about picking up some thin wire or carbon rod of the same dia. and redoing the push rod?

and here are the skis that i made i did have lots of snow a week ago but i had no batteries for my plane. now all the snow melted but we should have some more soon so i might get a chance to try it out. any way this is how the skis stay straight: ok fisrt of all the alxes are mounted behind the center of gravity of the ski. so because of this the tip of the ski falls down so it is held up by fishing line. also with the skis being mounted behind the COG if i do hit soft snow the back goes under and not the tip, causing a flip over

specs. 1" wide and 3" long

Monboy... thanks for the photos of your flaps. That gives this newby some fresh ideas.
I am making skis as well. I am using depron. What are you using?
My skis are 1 1/2" wide and 3" long. No snow yet but I'll let you know how they work when some snow arrives.
Not quite sure how I will attach the front end to keep the tips up. The fishing line sounds worth trying.

Did you just tape the flaps to the top and bottom of the wing?
