Gentlemen,

Here's my Bi-Champ. Fuselage and brick and motor are from wholesaletrains.com. Wing and tail are 2 MM Depron sprayed with Krylon H2O. The upper wing is larger in span and chord than the stock Champ's. Lower is a bit smaller. Landing gear is from a friend. Empty weight is 41 grams, about 4 grams more than stock.

Maidened it last night at our indoor venue, the size of a basketball court. Flight is nice and slow for my ancient reflexes.

Cheers for the Champ! Long may it wave!

Jim R.

Awesome plane! Did you strip the orange color first or paint over it?

I'm having a bit of difficulty with the champ and the 5043 metal prop adapter from EFlite (EFLM1933). I can get it setup just fine but it seems really unbalanced. I did balance the 5043 prop by itself but I'm not sure how to balance the adapter. I tried putting on three or four times but it was the same each time. It really chatters at lower speeds and I barely have enough power to stay up. But when I get to pretty much full throttle it calms down a bit but I don't want to cruise around at full throttle and burn through the battery too quick.

Well I moved my control rods half way in on the control arms. Way more fun with the extra throw. Think I am going to burn out my new motor doing 500' nose dives at 80k though. lol Man can this guy move when you point it straight at the ground and suicide dive. I can even get it inverted during a dive. I think my neighbours think I am nuts.

winglets

Has anyone else tried winglets on their stock champ? Im wondering if it actually improving performance or if the plane just looks like a jet while flying(which i like).

I just cut off the end of the wing. the tiny piece that slants upwards and glued it pointing straight up on the end of the wing
