I've done this mod on both my Champs. It no longer put the vertical stabilizer at risk from tail wheel impact. And I don't miss the steerable tail wheel aspect at all (don't even notice that it's not there).

BTW, that post is part of an excellent thread on building a Champ from parts. Even if you're not doing an entire Champ build (which is fun and not difficult), there's a lot of good info there which is useful in doing lesser repairs.

Nice.. I will have to try that.. I do not want to loose steering on the ground. However it sounds like that is not really an issue by mounting the wheel that way.
Thanks for the info..

Here is some pictures of my Champ. Not many mods, except a few decals and the 1.23 Dubro wheels. I like the scale look.

That can't be a Champ...where's all the tape, and white styro that's supposed to shine through?

It's heavier than some of the others, but my Champ was a tad tail-heavy anyway.

Man...if you can find out who sells these, I'm all over it.

A little more info on copying the file to drive.

Which folder will I be copying it to? Like, when I first hook up my cam, it has a folder named "dcim" or something like that. Then I think I open two more folders until I get to the actual video. Which do I copy it to?

And do I have to do this every time I upload a video?
No folder. Just copy to the root (either J: or K: or whatever it shows on the desktop).

You will have to do it just once. The camera's battery will keep the date moving like a clock.

I tried it with Pinnacle Studio 14 but the quality was less than expected. I did it by using picture in picture and scaling both sides to fit. Thanks.

That one says it's for a 2mm shaft...and I'm searching their site, and can't find one for a 1.5mm shaft like the UM P-51 motor uses.

I'd like to find one on the HK site...planning on ordering a few things...wanna save on shipping.
