Timer

With the 250 mah cell, I've gone 31 minutes without LVC.

I fly by feel and when it takes more then 60% throttle to cruise I call it a done deal. When first starting a flight the 150 mah's cruise at 35% and the 250 just a hair under 40%.

How do you activate the timer on the DX6I? I have yet to figure it out.
Thanks a bunch.

The trainer toggle on mine is what does it, in each model in the settings you can adjust a downcount timer for a set time, such as 15 minutes towards zero, or an open ended up count timer..

On each model, you can scroll down to the "adjust settings" function. Click that. Then scroll down till you see timer. Click that. Then you can make it another switch that activates it. I like the "cut throttle" button to activate mine. I had a great flight last night. Flew off of a bench in my back yard. hahaha. Then 14 minutes of true happy flying. Loving it. Lee

The easiest way is to upload them to a youtube account you set up.

On a different note: Has anybodyused their DX6I with their champ, and if so, what settings do you use?

I use a dx6i with all my pz. Settings are always different. You don't wanna burn the servo's. Lee

Yeh, I use my DX6i on every plane I own... Main thing to keep in mind, is do not set the travel beyond 100% on any control surfaces, you can over-travel the servo and burn it up. Also be careful with your mixes if you choose to run any, as sometimes you can cause an over-travel situation with a mix on.

IE:
Aileron +100% -> Elevator +10%, giving you 10% up elevator at full aileron deflection, but if you manually put in 100% elevator on the stick with that mix on, you can get up to 110% and cause an issue. The DX6i will allow you to exceed the ATV maximums of the ar6400 and other bricks.

I run mixes on mine just to be lazy, doing just as above, I've never had a problem with it, but others have reported issues.

Otherwise, as far as main settings I just run a single Hi/lo rate switch, usually on the flaps/gyro toggle because none of my models have flaps or gyros :P
