My EPP Yak with awesome printed paint job!

Well I did a version of a EPP yak and it came out awesome. This is my second one gonna start on it tonight. 30" wingspan.

The purple rectangle is the cowl formed into a cirlcle. It gives it that 3d look.
It should come in at about 9 oz.

Very nice paint jobs. You are very good at painting. Is this a kit or a home build? Will there be plans or are you just showing us your awesome art work?

Shawn, very nice paint schemes. Are you intending a "printed Yak" similar to the printed war birds? I think that could work very well...decorating the planes so nicely is usually the mot challenging part of the build for most guys.

i made some plans. I built this using four servos, interesting airelon servo placement. The pdf shown is for the 32" wing version. The printed colored paper scheme i am doing a 30" wingspan for weight. Yes, leadfeather, It will be like the printed warbirds series. Just a little different. I started cutting it out last night, i can't wait. i also have led lights for this one as well.

Shawn, how are you printing the paint scheme ?
Directly on the foam or first onto paper then laminating ?

I am doing it on paper. The files are true scale. I use a 36" wide color printer. The paper gives the epp extra support. plus its not too heavy. Trying to find the right trade off with weight vs my motor combonation gave me this size foamy. I use a 12 amp esc and a scorpion S-2208-30 motor with a GWS 8x4DD prop and a 640 mah 3 cell lipo battery.

maybe an oz. Thats the reason I scaled it down just a tadd to keep the weight the same as my 32" version.

Very Nice! What paper are you printing on, and what kind of adhesive are you using to attach to the plane?
