That 70mm or 64mm fan? I'll assume it was Rx ready and not RTF. You'll never get your radio to bind to their no name 2.4 rx. Thats unless you have their no name 2.4 radio! Another fella went on a tirade when he claimed he was told he could bind his spektrum TX to their rx.

its the 70mm and well it was rtf but i just subtracted the radio and charger because i don't need them, so yeah it is a rxr plane. I have a futaba 2.4ghz 6ch fassst system.

I have the same model but I'm using the landing gears. I also have the Nitro planes versions (no rudders but the same jet) and I hand launch it. It will take off with a slight toss.

Saw a kid at our field w/ the Blue Angels color scheme. He just held it between the exhaust, throttled up and for a lack of better words shoved it at a 45. Flew fantastic on the stock setup mins the LG.

Just saw the Blues perform at Jones Beach this past weekend. Those F-18s are sharp in that Navy Blue and Gold scheme.

when i get mine in here pretty soon and go out flying i will try and do a normal take off from the runway and hand lauch it. Im just nervous for belly landing it because of the position of the esc somthing might happen to it here is a pick of what im talking about.

There's a long, long thread about this jet ( as Exceed Rc from Nitroplanes) and some had purchase a belly pan. I personally like using the gears but some times when theres no where to land, belly it OK I guess.

After I crashed one of the F-18's, I fixed it and made it a belly lander and placed the Ecs in the receiver compartment.
Here's one of them...but with the gears

I have the same plane, jolly Roger to, very very nice plane, I bought the airframe only for 150 :-(. I also added the rudders, put a Haoya fan which make an excellent turbine sounds, added the pilot, and the servoless retracts... Boy it's real fun, with or without these addons.

My 70mm blue angel flies great as a hand tosser. I removed the gear since I don't have access to many pavement runways around me, which made it even easier to hand toss. Really fun to fly but stock is just too slow for me. An F/A-18 should SCREAM by on a low pass, not jog, lol. I plan on upgrading the power plant to push it to 90+mph.

First flight im thinkin would be a ground take off and after that i might take the gear off looks a little more scale in the air. And this f18 comes with missles and drop tanks can you take them on and off?

characters welcome!

I can see adding ordinance and tanks while on display but the amount of drag that stuff puts on in flight is a...drag.
