EPO is supposed to flex though. I'd consider Minwax Polycrylic and f-glass as it should flex with the foam more.

Might soak up a lot of Resin with all the open spaces in the EPO. You might want to tape it up then glass it, the do a lost foam trick.

thats another good one ,i have a friend who is offering me a GWS Me 262 that crash bad .I'm going to need to build a new nose and i will like to reinforce it ,my idea was to use 2 Oz fiberglass and finish epoxy ,but i have never worked before with EPO and i don't know is the resin will bond on the surface of the foam .

I dont know either. Never thought of that. What ever it is I bet we can't get in SoCal?

I'll try Tolulene and acetone on some EPP tonight (I dont have EPO) to see what happens.

Well Tolulene and Xylene does not affect EPP at all. I should have known since we use both to thin Goop. Alchol does nothing either. I dont have anything else to try.

Except polyester, CA, goop.....

Yes, EPO will take epoxy, but it's not very strong. I covered a fuse with lightweight cloth (3/4oz glass) and polyurethane floor varnish, and while it wasn't particularly strong it worked ok for what I wanted.

Why not build a wood nose on it glass that with 2oz and the rear with glass tissue
or foam glass tissue and as Mark said Minwax Polycrylic .EPO is pretty solvent resistant but never hurts to test a small piece first.
SteveW
P.S EPO is expanded polyolefin.
