This is what's left of it,used parts of it to keep other heli's in the air . I moved on to single rotor FP but the 9053 is still the bird with most hours in the air uptil now . Going to put it back together someday when I find the time, really loved flying it as 3.5 ch and as 4ch. Mixer: Esky big lama 4in1 + flysky TX/RX |

Sup Guys,
Lemme start by saying Thanks for all the useful info..got my heli on monday, been pissin with it since then. Currently on vacation so i dont got access to all my tools till tomorrow...then its game on. LOL one think i will note though.. My heli is NOT the double horse by name, but its a "GT8004" I been flying this Mofo around all week long. Checking this, that and everything in between. The entire machine is pretty close to the double horse. the RX has same red LED on it, lower blades are already flipped, Still has the dumb brace bar on the rear of it, and a over length tail. I will remove all that jazz when i get home. As for stripped out issues, yah..it does the same thing ill fix that too. Once i get ahold of my uni-bit ill bore myself a nice hole in the front canopy to get some air into it. I also plan on removing those cheezy little LED rockets that are mounted on the side of it. lol (A. They kill battery a little bit? B. They add weight...that isn't needed.) i also plan on going with a different Li-Po battery that i can mount outside and will allow it to be changed out quicker and also allow better cooling and weight distribution. I been flying this thing around the tennis court and having a blast. For my first RC helicopter i'm pleased with it. The big selling point was the price i got it for from the store. I walked in and they were selling "EVERYTHING HALF OFF TODAY SIR..." so i knew i was coming home with one. Bottom line, i paid 90 bucks..SURE..i paid to much, but still i dont care. Besides, this will give me practice for the big fancy one i purchase later in time.. Other than looking cheesy and having some cheesy parts, it does pretty good.. The battery leaves a little to be desired, HOWEVER....this is partly my fault.. I ruined it the first day..lol I'm used to using NiMH and other style batteries that you typcially want to drain flat dead.. Well i did this to my lipo the other day, and then researched them and found out thats a BIG BIG NO NO!! ooops, my bad. but..it took a charge and i'm gettin like 10-15 mins outta stock battery with no mods to it other than letting antena wire hang loose. so ill be ok till i get home to order some stuff and start modding it. MUHAHAHAHA!! anyhow, ill keep everyone posted as to what i do. Glad to be a member, and cant wait to talk to everyone! -WagZ- |

Wags,
you've been sucked into the world of rc helis, and now the addiction will start. Let me know when your ready to fly bigger and better helis... I started here almost two years ago, and now i have a trex 600. (as well as a V400D02, M120D01, trex 450 pro, and a 500 esp) at one point i had 3 v400's and two 450's. I even looked into the prices of real heli flight school, but thats just crazy talk. |

Thanks For the welcome sir! So far i'm having a blast! I'd love to have a full blown awesome helicopter of this size that is a name brand, excellent working heli, but the sticker shock is the biggest thing i suppose? i'd give my kidney for a Full blown RTF Nitro, but since they cost so much, ill have to hold off. lol (I already own nitro stuff thats why i like it so much..) but the electric stuff is coming a long way since i last had any of it. a MAJOR plus for me is the new RC air field they just put in last month. Its less than 5 mins away. So thats cool! Everyone has their own opinions on which company is best i imagine, so as for buying a name brand RC thats capapble of both inside and out, ill just have to check out the sellers and purchase what my budget allows. The purchase i made on this "GT" was just a quick purchase to give it a shot....now that i see how much fun it really can be...i'm in! lol

Well I have done all the modifications so it wouldn't fall out of the sky., Bought an extra battery, extra blades. Even a new flybar I forgot what model but it lights up. The first flight with the modifications did not end to pretty. It landed hard into a 1 foot wide ditch with enough water in it to fry the motherboard and one of the motors....... I give up. So now its for sale on Ebay........

WEll came home and put on my scientists coat. Cut off 2" of the tail, Replaced some stripped out screws, Tighted the top blades inside the holder iteself, Removed windshield from Heli to help cool the ESC, Removed fancy stupid missle thingys, took of the support bar for the tail, Hung battery underneith of heli with a ziptie and then took it for a cruise. BIG DIFFERENCE! ahh, also, i put a dab of glue on RX wire to prevent it from pulling loose for the main part. now when RX starts to blink, i shut er down. The wind kicked up a bit and it wasnt to terrible to be honest. I just need to get a bigger battery so i can get some more fly time.

I am new to r/c helicopters and in need of help. I purchased the double horse 9053 and I'm impressed with the quality, and I've only managed a few soft crashes. I've been using the training gear and staying close to the ground just trying to master hovering. Today, however, I took it to the field, lifted off about 2 ft. and realized I had no forward control. It would allow me backward control and, at times, a small amt. of forward but not enough to manuever Any ideas and thanks for your time.
