Which one? I have both....the sky king or the qs8006.

the sky king has to be modified, the qs8006 is a drop in perfect fit.....

BTW I'm in Ohio just south of Toledo...neighbor

Hey Neighbor...which ever one is better. I have the 9097 and it uses the same size rear rotor.

Folks,
I was flying the other day with my new tail rotor mod (see pg. 99 of this thread) and in the face of a strong wind gave the tail rotor a bit too much juice. I stood the copter straight up on its nose, which resulted in a vertical dive right into the pavement. Fortunately the only casualty were two broken ski mount adapters that I custom made to widen the "stance" of the skis. I can easily make another set...whew!!!

I have 2 sky king rotors new unused if anyone wants them. $8 to continental US. I decided not to do the mod cause my 7 year old flies this and you can get into trouble with these. PM me.

The center hub on the Skyking rotor is slightly larger than the stock rotor where is goes through the gear cover. Just take the gear cover off and you only need to enlarge it a very little to get clearance. A drill bit that just won't quite fit will do it or a dremel tool or sand paper. Takes about 2 minutes to get some clearance. Assemble and you're ready to fly.

Maybe I am old school, but why modify when a drop in direct replacement is available?
A tail rotor from a QS-8006 is a perfect fit no modification necessary and it works better...IMHO

Just fyi just tried it with your tail mod and the QS8005 tailblade an it fits like exactly all thats needs doing is unscrewing the orignal and of you go , lucky i have a few from the spares parts that i have accumulated since starting flying

also done the flybar replace with the plastic one and it will save me from to many blade replacements lol

Help needed please, is this the new 9053 or a fake?
I just received my Volitation 9053, and it is a fair bit different to all the photo's I have seen.
It has a plastic fly bar, more distance between top and bottom blades the bottom is almost on the front cover, the manual discusses an adjustable sensitivity on the tail wing and Gyro via on board pot's, different tail prop, different Transmitter and the box has 9053G written on it.
I will try and get a photo uploaded later.
Edit: just popped the cover no Gyro adjustments in sight.

It looks like the people at double horse are paying attention, and have made the mods to inhance this helis performance.

It look like a Syma S33g frame with a 9053 canopy. Could you post a bigger pic of the transmitter, please? The transmitter is not the same either!

I google the 9053g and this is what it showed:

Are those LED lights on the frame?
It looks totally bogus to me...does not look right........

Looking at it I think you are right, notice the fake pieces on the bottom rotor set are gone, battery is moved forward and tied down better, and larger tail rotor.

Wonder if they would let us upgrade...even exchange?

Just noticed the header on each picture, since when did they start weighing jpeg's?
