Hi Bill,
Got your PM.
Hope you have better fortune finding a 3 blade pusher than I did, good luck all the same.

So the pipes are for water cooling the motors right?

Ok Dave I'll wait over here for the video, I got my other motor and props yesterday and have them mounted looking pretty cool. Now to do some soldering does anyone have a spare hand or 2 one for the iron one for the wire one for the connector and one for the solder . how may is that? not my favorite task. I think I am going with a 4 blade head with John's dinner plate configuration under the main plate to make it a bit more ridge. Not at all sure on how long to make the blades.

Rich where did you get the heavy duty servos for the roto- dine set up? I think I better start out with them first to rule out any weak spots A pic. later got to go to bed working nights and just got home.

Later Dudes Bill

Here is the video, you have to watch me crash a gyro due disorientation first!!! LOL!!! I looked right into the sun like and idiot.

The RPG, watch how the wind gusts knock it around and just lift it up like a floating leaf!

Flying/Crashing LOL!!! (9 min 4 sec)

Thanks Pete....my videos, they are just record the flying session and thats it. I was going to at least ad some fade ins and outs, but the vid program locked up on me and I was getting sleepy so....it is just a "plain Jane" video.

The profile....the worst of it was the broken motor.

The Corona, broken tail boom, I have 4 in reserve.

RPG flew like a butterfly!!!

Bill, what is the overall weight right now? Also, not sure how your motors are set up, but I would have them turning opposite of each other to cancel any adverse torque.

Also.....make sure your thrust line is parallel to the stab.

I would tie some flying wires supporting your motor pods to the landing gear base maybe.

Make my blades if you can. If not, we can work something out I am sure.

Didnt recognise the skinny bloke in the video any one would think he has a new dog and is out walking and playing with it all the time

I like the new Billies RPG..Im sorry about the Kellett but it only looks like a minor bump! It so easy to get dissoriented.. it happened to me at Charlton Park with the Tempest in the bright light but luckily I managed to recover. But it was an 'arse twitching' moment

She will be back in the air in know time at all..just looks like the motor?

Hi Dave,
No worries about the crashes; that's part of it man. You looked so pitiful when the Profile hit the ground, I was awe poor Dave, reminded me of a kid dropping his ice cream in the summer. Buck up little camper the repairs look easy. I think I know what happened to the profile.....the left servo horn gave out because of all those left turns you do.. Just kidding man. The RPG looks pretty well sorted to me, so all in all that's a good day of flying. Thanks for the video's man. Like Rich said you look like you're withering away to nothing....eat a sandwich!

Take care buddy,

Thanks guys....The profile just needs a new motor. That was about it!!!!

I am too impatient guys. A whole bunch of us were supposed to fly that day, everyone chickened out.....except me. LOL!!! I think of it as a challenge in the gusty messed up pre-storm weather. It makes me a better pilot in calm weather, but man....when that profile turned upside down and I realized it, I was fighting all the way to the ground!!!! LOL! If I would have just given up, it would have been tooth picks. But yeah.....it does hurt my feelings when I crash.

Thanks for the compliments on the weight, but I need to loose another 20 lbs and I would be somewhat happy. Just comes off slower with age. I will get there!

I think the big servos I have for the Rotodyne are a bit to big and heavy for your pusher. I would use the Tower Pro MG995's or the newer better MG946R, these should give you heaps of torque.

I like your new pusher

Can you imagine if the 995 had an aluminum top casing? That is their only weak spot as the top casing is plastic and the holes elongate have much wear and tear. But if it were aluminum...they would be indestructible!!!!

Just thinking and wishing. It may be a project for the winter, but I need a DRO for the milling machine which would make life so much easier. One day I will get one........
