Thank Cali. Nice hearing you! Rich makes it look so easy to video via the transmitter. I tried! On the maiden flight of course. I gave up after that. LOL! Mike got me with the body English, hahhahahahaha! Busted!

Oh well, still figuring on how to decorate this bird. I have to say, this is one graceful bird.

I will replace the aluminum front gear with some nice hard 6061. Eventually, I want to make a shock absorbing system as the nose takes some abuse sometimes.

Guys.....It is time to decorate this bird. I am making a seat for Austin and he is pretty much ready to fly. So.....I was thinking about some decorations.

Let me know what you think? should I drop in some flowers and piece signs?

Got any opinions?

No chopping on this one. I should have never chopped up the other one honestly and learned a valuable lesson. I will fly it as is and Bill did an outstanding job on the build. Just one little detail kept him from flying.

I did do a mod to keep the front gear from bending up and the other mod....I tied wires to the axles and wrapped around the UC base and keeps the aluminum gear from bending so much.

I am going to experiment with props once I figure out how to program my shut off lower on the ESC.

I think you should get your modelling clay out again and re-model Austin to look like Rich, all you need to do is remove the glasses and make the hair a bit thinner “ok a big bit thinner” LOL

What could possibly go wrong!!
Hat cam is working fine, sorry to see that arrival but it doesn't look anything too serious, it flies very well. I'm sure you have mentioned it before but what blades are those?

Dave,
That flies well. Is this the model that Bill made from birch ply? It was some time ago, so my memory may be playing tricks.
At least the mishap was not down to your piloting. A new nose wheel leg and all will be fine.

Well done.

Regards
John
