I think mine ended up just ahead of the root trailing edge even with small elevator throws, I tried pushing it more rearward but it didn't want to know

what are you using for covering gery?

For model, just "japan paper" (old school scale modeling.....that i started with graupner beginner..)and cellulosic varnish...

yes, but i think that a cover with film like oracover stress the wing and can twist it...

I pinned my Swift onto the building jig for a few days after doping (varnishing) to keep the washout and make sure no warps crept in.

I'm sure the japan paper (tissue?) will add rigidity to the structure in a way that oracover cannot.
