;-) thought i would have more effect on the elevator... just pulled to less...
...and there was a mixer throttle->depth programmed from a former model

But, no problem, i could just start again after i had found the prop....

Is my CG correct?

Ailerons definitely need work on mine. I don't like the set up at all, and not sure if changing the side that control horns are on will help all that much. Hinges are really stiff as well, so that should help somewhat. Tempted to put balsa control surfaces on and tape hinges. I would like to change how the servo is set up as well, but just using a bit stiffer wire might help a bit

FWIW, it made a world of difference for mine. The wire is kinda OK in that the slop is all applied to the down-going aileron, which I don't care so much about. Stiffer wire wouldn't help the stock setup, and it might be challenging to get it to bend so sharply.

What would have helped the original setup would have been tubing with a finer ID and control surface horns with holes the right size.

Cheers for that Dr. Will have a play with it. Still tempted to make balsa control surfaces, but will see how freeing them up helps

Hk Minswift , New MPX Merlin size comparison .

Someone asked me whether the HK Miniswift was the same size or a copy of the MPX Merlin.
No, M/Swift is smaller .

anyone else noticed that the swift tailplane seems oversize for the mains? I think I might copy the V-Tail version that was done with my spare set. Or even maybe convert the original.

flew mine today for the first time is quite a bit of wind... absolute pearler! With rudder mixed into aileron, turns great! Very happy and a couple of observers were quite impressed with the performance from such a cheap model.

Caught up with JJ today and noticed his was doing the motor wire twisting just caught it in time ,lucky he had some medium cyno and a long thin applicator and drizled some around the motor mount plate from inside the cockpit, cant believe they use such a crap adhesive, be warned guys this looks like being a common fault.
I find I dont have to use the rudder and a 450Mah 2sp works well for ballance.
