In terms of 'mounting' all they did stock as use some silicon (?) or some adhesive to adhere it to the inner diameter of the airframe. Hope that makes sense and was what you were asking.

I attached some pics of the surgery to replace the elevator servo. I put in an HXT-500 since it was what I had but did require some modification. The servo lead was too short so I had to replace the lead with the one from the damaged servo. Not a very difficult change and probably saved some weight. Hopefully this replacement servo lasts a little longer

Zippy little bugger! I imagine it'll fly a little floatier with a smaller lighter battery.

This config still has a very good glide performance, you just need to get it up higher ,but it would have been out of the range of this camera , also there was no wind on the day I filmed this. I really would be worried about loosing it in a thermal if it was to light

Hey Jim that didn't come out to bad just glued mine together tonight using fast cure gorilla and fitted pushrods ,not much point going any faster till i get a prop off you tho' will have to drill out to 3mm i reckon i wonder what the origonal Kv is ? this one is 2100 Kv,so i fitted a 10amp esc ,and i think you were right in saying it might end up being to nose heavy.

Should be a rocket though Les is as you said the motor you've got weighs less than the original you should be fine? You can always run the 360 rhino .
Les the Electrosport factory folding prop would come close to suit I reckon, it would still need drilling out to 3.1mm ,the spinner is about 25mm and there's plenty of meat/plastic so drilling wouldn't be a problem , the blades would be a little longer than the stock but could be shaped down to size, if you want to get it flying this week , Hallam or Addies may have them in stock, about 3 bucks from memory .
Got some parts ordered including the props fuse and wing so I might build an all out pylon version on 3s
Will be interested in seeing yours fly .

Lyndon it's a lotta fun ,worth every penny .

Heres my attempt at the Hobby King Mini Swift Glider:

Hope you like!

I am using everything stock except for the Castle Creations 4 channel micro receiver I installed. As well I am also for now will be using E-flite 2S 800MAH Blade CX Lipos. Using cheapo FM Futaba 4 channel transmitter.

Have not maiden yet will do that when its not of course raining any more here in Washington the Pacific NorthWest.

I used water based cheapo acrylic lime green paint and only put the two stickers in the picture. It will be heavier than suppose to be but that just makes it that more fun to fly in wind! Maybe one of these days with the spare plane we can figure out what better and lighter motor to use and how to better install the ailerons with a better servo!

Thanks for the support here in the thread...
