NEAT Fair 2010, Downsville NY, Sept 17,18,19

Dear potential NEAT Fair attendees

The 2010 NEAT Fair website is now open to register as a pilot, worker and the Friday night dinner. Follow the appropriate tabs at http://www.neatfair.org

Highlight changes for 2010:

No impound for ANY Tx. 72 Mhz and HAM band fliers will use the "casual" pin board all weekend.

Flying off the pond is limited to AMA definition “park flyers” only. Model must not weigh over 2 lbs ready to fly and limited to 60 MPH. We will have a flight station official at the pond during the 9-5 hrs.

NO flying anywhere on the property on ANY frequency at ANY time except for the flight stations on the flightline. (In other words, no flying from remote campsites.)

Best news? No price increases (NEAT Fair controlled) from 2009!

Hope to see you there!
Sincerely,
Tom Hunt
2010 NEAT Fair event director

Hi Azarr

Nice to see you coming back....

Juniors have always been free if accompanied by a paying adult.

Her WOT is about 45mph, cruise is 30. She is a big slow flier.

I will just takeoff and get about 100', then just do laps. I have heard it is a tight space, but I should be fine. Some one said it is about 250' to the trees, if that is right now problem, if less I will just get above them.

Rock On!

Ah, it's that time again - fantastic! I'm all signed up and ready for September. No rush - plenty of fun to be had until then (and planes to prepare), but regardless this is still the flying highlight of the season. Gonna be a blast!!!

Dag,

You will not have any problems flying your plane at NEAT. I'll be there helping the SEFLI guys. See if you remember me from SEFF

DAG, it's probably closer to 350ft from the flightline to the trees, but it's 2200ft long.

Bring it if you can!

Thanks Tom,
I was told 250', if it is 300 or so I am set. If it is less, I will just fly over the trees, not to sound like I have a huge ego, but I am a much better pilot than builder. And the 1919 flies like a trainer. I am just so sad that SEFF was only 5 days for me, but now I have NEAT to look forward to.

Thanks, Dag

Hey Ric,
I sure do remember you, you were the glider guy. It is so cool that so many that went to SEFF will be at NEAT!

Just can't wait.

Narrow at the field, wide at the top, it does look to be very close, but not too many get in the trees!
