Evidently Luker hasn't been patronizing the local hobby emporium... I got quizzed this morning about his long time absence.

Mike, what did you build?

Forecast for tomorrow... 60 and partly cloudy. Y'all might get some flying in. I start a house project if we can get the slab dried enough to pop chalk lines.

Luker's eyes corrected???

Hey Mr. Luker, now that your eyes are in good shape when are you going to see a Neurosurgeon for your brain?
Floyd and I have enough tools to work on you if your Neurosurgeon won't see you.

Have a great day going nuts!

Is Dwain over his flue bug?

Just finished the flight batteries for the new project. Used a Harbor Freight tool pack. Left ten cells of the pack bundled and tabbed, split the center tab and soldered two power leads for a two switch set up. A single pack was marginally adequate and I need the nose weight anyhow. Easier to mount the one bundle than two separate packs.

Did any one go out today? Stayed kinda cool and got a bit windy so I continued progress on the Yak.

Fitted the cowl among many other odds n ends. Total weight is 12lbs 11oz but needed are 4oz more on the spinner/prop nut to balance.

That assumes the ability to mount the receiver batteries on the engine box. If interference results, ball game changes.

I believe that is Jim Vines' contender in the avatar, but -S- is not Jim. He must have bought the plane from Jim. Jim,s nickname here is "safebet". Here is Jim's blog:
