I would imagine in time after all the other operational units transition to the F-35 from their legacy fighters ......we will see this jet replace the Hornet and Viper within their respective demo teams.

I have to admit, 4 VTOL F-35s taking off in formation would be sweet to see.

I'm 99% from looking at the pics that this is the Starmax 64mm F-35.

I think you're right! I've gotten hooked on these 35's. Went thru a Wings Maker 35, lost from ali servo. I wanted something a bit smaller to put some go fast in so I got the AirField 64mm from Nitro and fit a 6904/ARC28-47-1 on 4s, did the maden and Holy Shyzen what a good flying fast jet! Anyway the HK ad says it a 64mm fan and the OP said 55mm. The HK/Starmax wing span is only 24" so for a 55mm/64mm it may be better than the AirField's 28.25" wing span is reportedly being slow on 64mm unless souped up. My bud dopplered mine today at 125mph with gear hanging in the breese. Beware of the cheap foam wheels!

Try these! I shot it so fast the foam kept comming off the hubs and trashing them when landing! Their replaced now. I did beef up the wing and tail feathers with carbon rod and changed the hinges to Robart. Have fun!

What F-35 is that apex? Thats not the Starmax one. Is that the Freewing one?
The Starmax F-35 doesn't have a removable canopy. It has little plastic cages underneath for the lipo.

Oz, An AirField 35 from Nitro Planes, kit only! Yes after shopping? online I did decide on this one for thr wing area and the hatch config. I was planning on the hop up from the start and glad I settled on the AirField.
