LX Model F22 Raptor V3 - BananaHobby
Anyone have a link to a thread on this jet? If not, here's one I'm starting.
* Wingspan: 850mm (33.5 in) * Length: 1230mm (48.5 in) * Wing Area: 27 dm2 * Flying Weight: 935g (33 oz) * Drive System: 2850KV Outrunner Brushless motor * EDF Diameter: 70mm * Thrust: 1000g+ * Servo: 6X 9g high speed micro servos * Retracts: Mechanical retracts * ESC: 50A Brushless speed controller * Battery: 14.8V 4S 2200mAh 20C Li-Polymer * Control system: 6 CH 2.4GHz Multifunctional Transmitter and Receiver * Radio Control Range: 3000 feet (1000m) It says BlitzRCWorks at BH, but it is a Lanxiang Model Aircraft Co. EDF. I just received mine today and I like it at first glance I got this morning. The V3 now has retracts and they seem pretty stout and are also a shock type gear which should help with landings. Nose and mains are sprung, seems like a cool idea. Here's mine modeling with the A10! |

This bird flies great! Very broad envelope with great slow speed flight and decent full throttle sprints. I bought the airframe from BPHOBBIES and have a SAPAC MB-1 and Pentium 80amp esc onboard.

Had a chance to snap some preflight pics. Weather is looking nicer today!
70mm Shock absorbing struts - no load. Shock absorbing struts - full load. I pressed down on the nose gear in the second pic, you can compare its position between fully extended and fully compressed. They could use a little smoothing out. I have one servo that buzzes when the gear is up, I will be adjusting the linkage to get it quiet so it doesn't burn out. I'll get a video of it up soon. |

There's a thread on it but it states as being from another vendor but it's the same LX Models F-22 70MM Jet.
I upgraded it to an Rc Lander 3575Kv unit on 4cells 4000mAh. It's a bit heavier with the unit and bombs but it looks good in the air. Here's a video I made a while back with the stock setup...I'll post a flying vid with the upgrade unit.. Thearea59

Here're some pics with a bombs/toothpick on nose...and can't see the unit but..It's there..
Oh and I did crashed once so, I changed the nose cone and it came darker than the original. |

4 to 5 mins depends. If I'm right it was the same time with the 2200 with the stock motor.

I'M THINKING IT WAS THE ESC . Mine came with a 50A ESC but it appears that it doesn't have an internal BEC. I flew it approximately 3 to 4 times before it happened and I didn't let it sit on the ground much to cool down so, that probably had something to do with it?. I was running 2 servos for Ail and 2 servos for Elev. I know it comes with one on each side and a bell crank ( Retract Version). After that, I stopped flying and swapped the power system. But now I keep back and relax for a bit before taking off again. It is Faster too....... |

Well, all flights are temporarily grounded, it seems both my A-10 and F22 have issues with the electronics systems. I'm super bummed and I'm not even gonna try to get replacement electronics from BH.
I just ordered a DX6i, 4 servos and two receivers along with some ex-BECs. I'm not going to chance it after it started acting funny right as I was taxiing the runway. Glad it happened now! The 4 servos are for putting rudders in both jets The F22 just browns out and everything becomes non-responsive, so it is getting a new RX and Typhoon Tsunami 54amp ESC and rudders while the A10 won't get a signal after about 20ft so it is getting a new RX and rudders as well. Serves me right for using the stock radios/RXs...Oh well, I flew my Turmoil Flatout for about 10 minutes to calm down...I ripped up the sky with that thing and actually snapped the wing supports mid flight from ripping on it so hard. Gotta love the $15 airframes with too much 3S power! |
