MK Hexa video with Canon T2i & 10-22 lens

Using a modified Hexakopter to carry a Canon T2i/550D and a 10-22 lens I shot this sample this morning.

I set the focal length at 22mm to better show any vibration on our camera gimbal. There is none. Absolutely zero rolling shutter artifacts. Even when panning at a moderate speed the video shows no rolling shutter problems.

The vibration isolation system used on our gimbal is extremely effective although these multicopters do not exhibit vibration problems nearly as bad as helicopters do.

can't wait to get the HD Quadcopter flying. This Hex is straining with the T2i and 10-22 lens.

To view the raw clip in 1080HD (recommended) go to the vimeo page and then on the lower right you can select to download the source clip.

The smoothcam version of this clip is below. A setting of 0.4 was used with a total zoom in on the image of 103%

Great video, what is total weight? Do you have pictures of hexa, what prop-motors combo.

go here and scroll down for pics of the Hexa used for this shot

Roxxy motors were used with 12x3.8 APC props on 4s3000 battery. I put heatsinks on all FETs on the ESCs.

It would not be recommended to fly a Canon T2i with lens (2.0lb) on a Hexa. I did this only as a test for our camera gimbal to see if vibrations affected the CMOS sensor in the camera. There were no vibrations. An Octo would probably be on with this payload.

Nice video. Palm leaves suggest you didn't have any wind?

Over here we always have wind and vibrations can be a big problem with a suboptimal motor-prop-weight combination.
