I went over yesterday and flew some more at Powers Crossroads RC strip. The winds were practically at zero so it was a good time. There were about 6 other people out there flying, I had met most of them before so we had a good time.

I am excited about the next time we can get together at the Pecan Patch. The Extra 300 is ready to go again. I also strengthened the tail wheel so it should work out much better. I want to get a good check flight on it from Mark and then get some stick time.

The Falcon got a new propeller on it and I think I found out why it went dead stick on me. When I went from idle to full throttle quickly it had a bad hesitation. Thinking maybe it coughed and died when I increased power during takeoff climbout. I adjusted the low end and now it is nice and smooth from idle to full throttle.

Let's go flying!

Cant wait to see your extra 300 Dave. Is it set up for good "doing the sticks like this" stunts?? Or Is it more for pattern??

Trying to patch up the 1/4 scale Geobat.
She hasnt flown since new years day when I bent the crap out of the nose gear. It's a home brew gear with spring loaded strut.

You can see the bent 3/8 diameter rod on the bench..... I just got to cut a new one of those and instal it.....

Maybe I can fly it Sunday if all goes well today with it.

Geo Bat 1/4 scale

Mark,
Hope all goes well with the big GeoBat flight for the investors, one always wants to make a good showing.
That's a different one in the pic isn't it? I thought the biggie was grey in color, this must be another biggie bat I haven't seen before.
Pics of the event sure would be nice.

John, the Extra should be able to do just about anything. The only limitation it has is the owner.

I have flown it twice? and I loved the rudder repsonse on it..........

Powerfull as hell, but predictable too.
I was doing 360 stall turns with it.

True IMAC guys have different flight modes for normal flying and 3D flying.
So far I missed that day at school.
