Soon: a wedding!

If your interested in joining in go to the last page and introduce yourself. Join in the conversation....
Then you'll get the invite to the next open flying day or event.

Very cool. I set up a link on my desktop that will take me straight to this thread. Talking about flying, I was hoping that maybe the Gods Of Wind would smile upon us today but no such luck. I spoke with Mark earlier and he has the right idea, let's just keep 'em charged and hopefully a good day will come sooner rather than later.

Very interesting. I am pretty stoked abount the chance of finishing Mrs Martha. I had told you guys in the past that the thought of covering an airplane sounded like an interesting challenge, now I have my chance. I have to get my a$$ in gear first and finish the Extra 300 then I will focus on Ms Martha. By the way, is there a specific type of aircraft name for her or type? Is she a "one off"?

The first time I saw a Miss Martha Mac Hodges was flying it and we were all blown away... Probly early 80's

back then it was called a fun fly plane.
specific for doing the Dixie Death contest (3 loops , 3 rolls 3 spins land- repeat)
My brother had one a he flew the mess out of it.

I can give you a little basics on the monocote one day if ya like.....

As it turns out I had registered on this site one year ago Marko. Tried my generic Bronconator login and Shazzam!!!

Started to drop you a line earlier today Dave. When I told Marko about Ms. Martha the first thing he said was "He needs to put a .46 on it!"

I'm going to try to have the Ultra Stick ready for her maiden flight on Wednesday. Thinking it'll only take another couple of hours to Get-Ir-Done. Looks like Monday evening will be a good time weather wise for some bench time...

Later Guys

There was a shooting tournament at Cherokee Rose this past weekend...... sounded like the civil war was back on around here this past weekend

Pecan, thanks for the invite, looks like you fellers are going to have some fun again. I did get my first official flight for this season in last night, it felt great to make a spin around the patch. It was short lived as there was a good storm front moving through, and the thunder was drounding out the sound of the motor. LOL

Wednesday's Weather

Well gentlemen, it looks like it is time to start charging some batteries. Wednesday's forecast looks great with 5-6 mph winds. Three different weather service web sites say the same thing, maybe they will get it right.

The supertiger 370 motor gave out on my combat plane Saturday while we were at Loganville. I went down to Allison's yesterday and bought another one and installed on the combat plane. Then yesterday evening I went down to the corner and tried it out. Conditions were perfect, sun behind the trees off in the distance and no wind. Very nice flying conditions, I could have stayed there for hours. I know the motor is not an Eflight but for $18.99 the first one lasted a good while and took a lot of abuse for the time it lasted, it even had a head on collision with mother earth a time or two.

I hope a good crowd can show up Wednesday at the Pecan Patch, we should have perfect weather! Hope to see everyone then!!
