I have a few things to take care of on the Sundowner, but should be up there towards the end of next week to maiden.
I also just went out on a huge limb, extended myself, and picked up a Trex 550e today... lots to work on and I still have not even finished repairs on my Addiction X |

...yea its NIB. It kinda scares me that it was the single most expensive single RC purchase I have ever made.
Even with some of my more expensive planes, I at least had the electronics for them; but I cannot gripe, I got a great deal with the full combo so all the electronics were included. I was all in for it at $550 NIB... I will be putting up some stuff for sale shortly |

Ooohhh... I'd seriously start considering locking sharp hobby tools under the lock with paying special attention to scissors, #11 blade knifes, razor saws (it hurts just thinking about it!) and planner blades. If you have scroll saw hide those blades especially well (ouch!!!). Personally I'd have hard time falling asleep before I know all kitchen utensils are accounted for. I'd not stop only at sharps. Forks, table knifes and even spoons and ice-cream scoops. Make sure all bottles with aluminum screw cups are tightly closed and all beer cans have their tabs in place. Wearing those under pajamas may seem uncomfortable at first but it can become a best friend for years to come.

Yea it is a ton of money for me, but the price was right; I have not seen it anywhere for less than $698+tax+shipping. I know the feeling with the truck; I drove an old cherokee for 13 years and it was broke down for most the time. When I had the money, I transplanted 2 different transmissions into it, 1 engine, 1 computer system (I never knew these old beaters had a CPU?), and who knows what else. I finally gave up on it when they told me I was going to need a 4th (origional+ 2 transplants) transmission, and that I needed a new radiator and when my AC gave out again I just said RIP... Looking back, the last two years I had that cherokee I had spent over $4k on repairs. I dont know where the break even point is, but since getting rid of it, I feel I have been saving money; it was like a boat in that it was like a hole in the ocean I just kept putting cash into. my lil jeep almost reached 200K and clocked its last mile at 193,086. I am actually all out of lil helis, but one of these days I'll put my indoor planes back together and come on out. |

The Trex 450 is gonna cost $400 it is in mint condition. Only flow about 10 times. With a receiver. I can even test fly it for whoever buys it. I like it but I like my bigger heli's better. I also have 2 trex 600N's. I would like to sell my Backup 600N as well. I need some funding for something different. I am really looking hard at a Gasser plane close to 100cc.

My blazer not been that bad, I have done this and that over the years. but have had it like 8 yrs now. its got 236000 on it now, AC been out for past like 4 yrs. now they say it needs like $150 worth parts. hope can get by w/o that much going try junk yard for one i think.
I would love to get something else but do not think anyone would sell me a car with payments as low as have to be for me to afford it. I want to try save up about 2K and just go buy something else. thinking about maybe a ford focus something good on gas mine only 16mpg. wow 100cc plane your getting serious now. you going to buy that 103" Aj slick from 3dhs? I'm sure you can sell the trex on helifreak. |

I have very similar story about my first car Mercury Topaz. She sucked 50% of her value annualy to make her drive! After I sold her after two years I gave myself a word - no more American cars, regardless of how patriotic I am about my country. Since that sale I spent less than $50 on repairs over 12 years, not counting brake pads, oil and tires. One of the best financial decisions I made in my life.
