Some measurements, not accurate to the mm, but close enough

Wasp -

102mm from bulkhead to hook fwd recess.
95mm from hook to CG
CG is at 52mm

X -

190mm from bulkhead to hook
55mm from hook to CG
CG is at 54mm

Stiletto -

103mm from bulkhead to hook
90mm from hook to CG
CG is at 47mm

I really didnt experience a massive difference in the launch of the different planes, X has the furtherest aft hook and pulled up the least! Dont think the laws of physics have time to make a massive difference with the hosemonster bungee, they literally just get flung forward.

Heres a heads up for you guys pushing wasps/swifts hard.

Mine has hundreds of flights on it, well over a year old now, noticed some stress cracks forming around the aft radius's of the wing connector cutout.

This airframe sees some wicked Gs every flight, and these cracks are the only sign of the airframe starting to give way. Its in no way a defect in the wasp.

Increasing the size of the radius, and running some carbon tow on the underside of the area would be a wise idea. The cracks will eventually allow the wing bolt to rip out of the fuse.

Ill post some pic's of the repair later, but the cracks are circled in pen in the photo below

All,
this plane is really nice. It is looking similar to the mini hawk from below link
http://www.modellhobby.de/Modelle/Fl...&t=3&c=31&p=31

Do you know where to buy it and at what price?
Cheers

What ever the name, brilliant little plane . Same manufacturer, marketed by different distributors, must be a good thing that so many want to call it thier own. Can't wait for the weekend to let it loose again .

Forgot to take photos of the fix for my cracking fuse.

Laid out some carbon tow, roughly 50mm long, stuck it down the center of some 1" fibre reinforced tape. Wetted out the carbon with some 30m epoxy and stuck it up and under the wing seat using the tape. Clean and easy

Wasp spoileron throws.

23mm up at the IB ends, no elevator compensation.

It pitches up a touch, nothing scary or un-controllable, just adds to the drag.

Got it set up on LH slider BTW, its easy to land it at your feet like this, dumps heaps of speed and lift and doesnt do anything nasty while slowing down.

Got a couple of flights in with mine this morning for the first time in ages. Launches were scary as usual but once the prop got a bite she was up and away. Wind was gusting at 20mph but that doesn't seem to affect this plane as it seems to go as fast against the wind as it does with the wind! I still cannot fly this plane close enough for doppler readings (too fast and too many obsticles) but it's as fast as I want to go and much quicker than anything else at the field. Two batteries through it and I need my inhaler

Mibo eWasps Eggbeating (1 min 41 sec)

Eggbeaters! X2!

Symphony of destruction seemed to fit well

Highly recommend reinforcing the wing saddle as above before trying

After having too much fun playing eggbeaters..

My elevator servo decided to jam at high rates, full up. Flat spun into the dirt, SPLAT. Fuselage is toasted.

Anyone got a spare fuse?
