Looks like everything I was hoping for in this little plane and that wing must be strong to take some of those moves! Mine should be here in a couple days so I need to get ordering servo's.

Well mine's arrived and I like it a lot
Quality of the fuselage, wing and h-stab is pretty damn good and there's plenty of room in the fuselage for what I intend to install. The only criticism I have is that the wing bolt hole is about 1mm off to the side of the centreline of the wing which means the wing ain't square to the body and I like things square and true! I'll fill it with epoxy and re-drill it. Need to get ordering the servo's now.
No point in me posting pics as mine is exactly the same as Jacko's.

Weird on the hole being off line. Id triple check that it is before shifting it

What power system are you planning?

Ive been tweaking the throws and CG over the last hundred plus flights, it feels pretty near perfect. Got a slight down throttle to down elevator mix too from memory. Ill post em up if your interested.

My 2200mah 4 cell 30-40c batteries slot in nicely although the ESC placement could be an issue. I'm thinking HS65's in the wing but at 12mm wide I'm not sure if they're too wide for the tail. May go for an SD150 in the tail instead. Rx will be a Spekky 6200.

I have metal geared digital MKS DS470 servos in my E-Wasp.

Sweet, If i built mine again id use MKS DS450's all round too.

I have hyperion DS09's in the wing and an HD2212MG on the elevator, id expect an HS65 would fit in there easily though.

I measured up my wasp, outta curiosity, and its square, you musta got a friday arvo one

These are the throws in using at the moment, with a solid amount of expo as it very maneuverable, particularly at speed!

Throttle-Elevator .5mm up at full throttle @centre.
CG @ 52mm from centre LE.

Landings are a walk in the park compared to a speed400 pylon, its quite easy to drop it at your feet, with the spoilerons up it bleeds speed and lift quickly.

Wing is sorted so should get some work done this weekend. The motor mount is not a particularly positive fit so I'll need to fettle it a little.

Are you sure ? I don't think the throw is able to set more than 10mm. can you verify again ?

Today a measure the max. rpm with Turnigy tachometer. 8500 with Aeronaut 11x10 prop (Turnigy 3542-1250kV).

I finally got around to building my E-Wasp today and everything went together very nicely due to the very good quality of this plane. The elevator linkage was a little fiddly but not a big deal with a little planning and thought. I have used a Mega 16/15/4 on 4 cell 2200mah batteries with a Hobbywing 60A ESC and Graupner Speedcam 5.5x5.5 as I wanted to set it up for some pylon style flying. Everything fits in nice and neatly as the fuse is just perfect for 4 cell batteries. Pitch speed is around 140mph so I'm hoping for around 120mph straight and level. Overall, a great plane for the money!

Very Nice, looks good as a pylon racer.

The wasp can out turn any other plane ive flown, it will seriously rip around a turn fast than you can think.

I hope they havent stopped making them, it looks like they have though
