Orders From HobbyKing/China

I've had 8 ordres so far over the past 2 years. The first 6 came from china, to my house in about a week or less.

The last two packages took much longer. The very last order I had:

Took them over a week to "ship" it. Then it sat in hong kong post office for over a week.

Finally a week ago it was sent to to the US and still have not seen it.

Is this just a fluke or is the days of getting stuff in a week from China over? They always have soem BS excuse like some holiday or now they say the moved the warehouse but now at 3 weeks seems a bit too much.

I heard something about customs as well is starting to peg them. Probably horizon causing that so they can sell you a 10C lipo that last 30 cycles for $70.

My understanding is they were falling behind to keep shipping times low, so now have hired more staff and things should be faster soon.
Also take in account alot of stuff was on hold due to that volcano ash.

Excellent point.I have an order that I made about a week and a half ago and tracking just now shows it leaving Hong Kong.

Other than the problems they have acknowledged, I don't believe the delays are in their control. I ordered stuff from HK using Air Mail Registered option in early April and it took about 4 days to leave their facility which they advised would happen because of a warehouse move. From there it sat in the Hong Kong post office 6 days before they acknowledged its' presence in the tracking site and then another 7 days before they said it left Hong Kong. Some of this time may have been customs delay, but there's no way to know. After the HKPO shows it has left Hong Kong, the USPS tracking site recognizes the tracking number and also says it has left Hong Kong. Took another 5 days to get here after leaving Hong Kong.

It kinda looks like there's been a number of things causing delays this spring - long holidays, volcanos, warehouse moves, customs, etc - not only at Hobby King but other Chinese vendors such as RCTimer.

Correlating these complaints of delays with other threads describing new "birthday wishes" on the mailing labels - coincidence? I think customs is P.O.d.

I noticed OUR USPS works better when something is shipped from China to the USA than from within the USA. This really makes me wonder who exactly ownes the USA?
