Quick Question About 7C.

Can I use the 2.4 Futaba 7c with the Spektrum 6100e Receiver?

Thanks!

If the Fixed 2.4ghz version, negative as like PCM, the 2.4ghz systems are proprietary. If 7C is the module based version, then by swapping out the Futaba module and inserting the Spektrum module for Futaba TX then yes your TX will drive a Spektrum receiver.

Hey guys,

Thank you for your responses.

I appreciate it

Apparently you can use Spektrum and JR together. But the new Futaba stuff is different.

This is my understanding (please correct me if I am wrong) :

Spektrum = Each Tx has a unique ID.

Futaba = switches every 2 milliseconds.

Again please correct me if I'm inaccurate. as I would like to have a good understanding of this stuff.

Thanks!

Kubi, all 2.4 ghz Tx's have a unique id. Futaba skips around the frequencies in the 2.4 band every 2ms. Jr/Spektrum select two free frequencies in the 2.4 band and at any give time uses the frequency with the best signal. Both approaches work.

Using own modules yes, but if using a module made by Spectrum fir Futaba/Hitec TX, then it complies with Spektrum requirements and drives Spektrum RX not Futaba.
Good reference points on 2.4 Ghz
How compatible are 2.4GHz RC systems?

Today one cannot just say that JR and Spektrum are compatible. Only JR DSM systems are compatible with Spektrum. New DSM-J systems from JR are not compatible with Spektrum. While DSM-J was created for the more stringent requirements of the Japanese regulatory rules, it is being sold in other markets as well. Not a question of will it come to NA, only when.
