Great shots SU-4ever.

Mine is just about finished. Still waiting for the cockpit kit from ParkflyerRC so I did not finish it.
So far I used 5ea HET DS-001MG 2ea T-Pro MG90S 9G , PZ-15091 electric retracts, Midi with arc 36-75-1. For now will fly with a 80 amp ESC and a 6 cell 5000mA battery, will upgrade to a 8 cell.
Did most of the mods like gear supports, intake divider that where on this site.
Flaps and rudder are functional.
Used 2oz glass with epoxy resin on the wings. For spars I went with 0.125" x 0.375" carbon fiber rectangles.
My Futaba radio is set up with the throws listed in the manual and -30% expo.
D/R is 100% and 50%

Maiden flight

Our runway is 600ft.and it rotated around 400 ft. Had allot of problems with the gear bending so I could have been scrubbing the tires. Did not use flaps on takeoff but rotation was smooth. The flight around the field needed up trim and still the nose wanted to pitch down so I need to set CG some. Did not use flaps on landing and touched down at the 200ft mark then the mains bent like pretzels. Now the hunt for struts.
At 6 cells this plane is sluggish need to go 8.

The wind was blowing at 16MPH but it was straight down the runway (we have a very good weather station at the field, http://timpa.org/current-weather )I still do not have a weight of the plane, but I did take my L-39, my Bobcat 50 and my little EDO F-15, I got two flights in each before it got dark, below are some pictures of the L-39. I did measure the power readings, at 8S 5000 XPS Cells it settles down at 69 Amps and 2022 Watts. I have not gotten a chance to get a weight of the plane yet. I will start building another L-39 very soon.

Hi,

I would like also to paint mine with the L-39 Breitling 2010 scheme, where did you get the decal set?

Thanks
Guy

Hey Yoram,

I checked at Callie's but could not find the Breitling decals. Can you please share a link?

Callie

Her webpage is very outdated and does not even have 1/10th of the decals she offers, RC is not her primary business, it's best to email her and she can send you a proof. I can tell you, She is great to work with, cheapest around, great graphics and does custom work. I have used her services for 6 of my jets so far.

It was custom made for me. Just ask her for the same she did for me (assuming you are cool with #8) a couple of months ago. She should still have the files, and may charge you less as she doesn't need to do the design work again. She did only ask me for $30 anyway, so not a big deal. This was not something of her "catalog"...

Thanks Ralph, I assume your decals are her design.
