walmart glider flying wing--kinda like a mini speedwing--Works great!!! pictures...

I cut up a walmart glider today and came up with this.. I FLIES!!! It flies pretty good. Weighs about 5 oz. It loops great. I don't have a computer radio so the throws are way down, so the roll rate is not good. It goes about as fast as a mini speed wing. (The balsa elevons are from mini speedwing)
I am using a two cell 700mah lipoly. Works great. The motor mount is wooden dowels. This works good too. Over all I'm impressed with this 4$ plane!

HI all,

bassplay,

I just decided to mount the motor this way so the prop wouldn't hit the ground. Other than this I don't think it really matters.

genebond,

The CG is more touchy than in a swept wing model. It's not unmanagable (Spelling? ) though.

Anyway I'm also working on a swept wing model that seems to work better.

Keep ya posted,

John-
