although, you might get lucky, since this is your first time. I believe they call it beginners luck. LMAO.

Back from my travels so its back to where i left off, finishing the wing. As you can see from pic, im juggling some DIY with this build, unfortunately the Froggy has come second.

An update. While sanding and filling the fuselage ready for glassing ( im not a patient man!!) i decided to paint the wings. Iv'e decided to go for the SU25KM Scorpion colour scheme of sand and green. Hope to start glassing fuselage next week.

Iknow i know. A quick question for you guys. origininally i was going with retracts but as the build progressed the weight started to increase, so im now going with either a dolly launch or bungee, what do you think. I had thaught about a fixed undercart but didnt want to see weels hanging down in flight. Anyone got any pics of their bungee hook setup, where is the ideal place to position the hook, i heard just in front of the cofg.

Cheers

The hook needs to be about midway between the CG and the nose. But it's not super critical. The farther forward the flatter the launch, more to the rear makes the launch steeper.
Gliders like it steep. Jets need it flat, airspeed over altitude.

Here's a great bungee launch thread, tons of info.

hope this helps

^^^^yup, good advice. I put my hooks around the 60% point, between the nose and the CG. you get a flat trajectory, with a slight bit of climb. works well.

Bungy, is a risky first launch, be very prepared and have no distractions! Make very sure you double checked everything. Also double check deflection direction of all movable areas. Make sure you have lots of expo on elevator and ailerons in first flights. I would hate to see this model lost due to bungee mishap. Good luck!
