Good plan on holding off buying the Trex RTF. FAQs-102 has some FAQs about building your own that give you something to sleep over.

Just an FYI
If you have a gaming system with a headset, it may well work on your PC. I used my Playstation 3 one. Worth a check.

I think you would find it very difficult using a phone on Skype for a lesson. I use a headset with built in mic leaving hands free to configure Phoenix or fly whilst talking to Jack.

Am confused now. I downloaded the app for the Iphone and have a headset for the iphone. why would it not work for this? and what headset will work on my computer that would be able to talk on? Please explain.

My mistake it should work on an iPhone with a suitable hands free setup. When you initially said you had got Skype for the phone I assumed you were going to use it to make a phone call which is what Skype is often used for.

Headsets for computers are very common and available at most computer stores. I am not sure where you are so it's difficult to suggest anywhere. I am in the UK.

If you have a game system, such as a PlayStation, with a headset, the headset may have a USB connector, hence will work on your PC.

My PS3 headset works on my PC.
