Rechargeable Alkaline batteries good for R/C packs???

Guys,
I keep wondering if the rechargeable Alkaline cells like you see at Wal-mart and etc. would be O.K. for a flight pack. I would have about a 25 amp draw and I wondered if these cells could take that. Basically I know nothing about them. Nicad and Nimh's, yes, but not these. Any ideas????

Thanks,

Scooter Ross

In a word, NO!

You might get an amp or two out of them, but not 25. Their capacity falls off VERY fast (after only a few cycles). Stick to NiMH or NiCd.

Rechargable Alkalines

Benard,
Thanks a lot. I figured as much but wanted to know for sure. There are no short cuts in life I guess.

Thanks,
