Shari and I will hopefully be there late Thursday afternoon/ early evening. It's a long drive from Albq. And the roads aren't the greatest..

We're really looking forward to seeing everyone again..

Best place to stay!

Brian,

I love the Comfort Inn. It used to be La Quinta now it is Comfort Inn. You take Plaza exit like you are going to the field then turn south towards the airport. Turn right at Airport Blvd and there right past the Marriot I think it is? The carpet is so FREAKING thick and soft and the rooms are really nice and BIG! Ask for a downstairs for packing and unpacking and you have it made! I am personally staying in Bakersfield and chasing woman each night after flying. CVRC has a link to Visalia on there website that gives all the names and numbers. See you there.

Brian, there are many places to stay, I think Jerry was referring to the Holiday Inn, a little further down 198 are all kinds of places, Super 8, etc. On Mooney there are several more, Economy Inn is not bad and cheap!

We usually stay at the Fairfield Inn, off N Akers and 198. Bruce and I will be there Friday PM.

I think Dennis meant to refer to the Econolodge on Mooney. I have been staying there on my trips to Visalia for years. It is an older motel that is slowly being refurbished by the owner/operators as they get the money. My rooms have always been clean and they come with a fridge and microwave. And lately the rooms had new heating/cooling units that worked better and were quieter than most motels. YMMV. Feel free to mention my name when you check in. It might get you a nicer room. On the other hand.....

I guess the normal suspects will be there, about 20-25 pilots. What is the weather prediction at Visalia?

Friday and Saturday look like they'll be the better days, low 80's and breezy (10-12). Rain on Sunday, but that could change.

I looked at 3 different weather sites (Accuweather, Weather Underground, Weather channel and Intellicast) oops.... thats 4....
Only Accuweather mentions rain... Guess they use a different dart board than the others....

Camper is packed... ready to haul out of Albq Wed evening!

The long range Visalia weather report looks good for next weekend. No rain and rather mild conditions.
