Don't lose that cable, you won't find anything else like it! It's more flexible than any other cable out there, which is perfect for fussy little retracts like these. Kevlar thread may be a good alternative if you have to...

And if you have to redo the cables or anything, little brass tubes work great for replacing the original crimp tubes...

If you have a big enough nose door, you could put the steer servo here

What I did with both of my Sapac retracts was make the outboard cable permanent, and made the inboard one adjustable... If you are running a rudder too, any changes you make to tension that will tweak the nose wheel can be corrected with radio trim and re adjusting the rudder connector...

I am looking forward to this one. I reckon it is light enough and slippery enough, especially with those little intakes to do 140 mph plus with 1000 watts and gear up. And with the stiffening of the fuse with your ducts and wing spar mods it would not be a hard model to crank the power up to 2000 watts or more too. j

By scale wing you mean replacement not just modified, with different airfoil and planview? I haven't really had a good look at mine. After taking the photo of the damaged wing I boxed it up. J

the stock wing looks like it would be perfect for a 90mm size plane ,the scale wing will be a complete different wing ,we'll test a foam core version and if it works i'll make a mold.

i think up here. i just touched up the duct plugs that i made some changes on so sand them tomarrow and maybe lay up a production set .im am getting close ....just going to madien without paint ,and only gear leg doors .still this will prove to us what we have here .not sure how i will affix the wing due to the fact they need to come off for the scale wing after we ring the stock ones out ,i think it will fly great with the big wing and it wil be a hot bugger on the scale wing

heres the nose gear set up ...tight fit i'll have to drill a small hole to tighten/adj the one side. i used the stock servo holder just modded it to fit the 9 gram Turngy servo ,used fishing leader with a plastic coating on it.had to glue the cables in th eholes on the gear because they would fold under and not allow the retract to lock down

i rigged up the retact valve and tank and fill valve ....not impressed with the fill valve ...you have to hold it in and pump...so it will take 2 people to fill it up ...plus the air would'nt even raise the gear into the plane. not real happy with this ...and that was just the nose gear ...they actually go down faster than they go up.
